Baga Beach, Goa, India
Baga Beach, Goa is one of the most popular destinations in north Goa. Some believe Baga Beach to be the best beach north of Aguada. We found it to be crowded with beach shacks and sun beds.
The tourist beaches here are shared by the fishing village just north of Calangute beach. At high tide the beach strip becomes very narrow and you will feel sandwiched-in by the beached fishing boats and the beach shacks.
The Baga beach shacks are licensed by the local council to control their
section of the beach, allowing them to gain patronage through the use of the
sun-loungers they position out under parasols. You don't have to pay for the
sun-loungers but it is frowned upon if you bring your own refreshments!
