Holiday-in-Goa.co.uk Holiday and travel information about Goa, India.
Goa Tourism, Goa, India
Tourism in Goa is one of the greatest earners for this small west coast Indian State, along with the export of iron ore. The main season is from the end of October through to April, peaking in December and January - the most pleasant part of the climatic cycle for the region, after the monsoon season and before the intense heat of the Indian summer.
Indian nationals and British seemed (to us) to be the stalwarts of Goa tourism - there in the greatest numbers with other contingents of a few mixed Europeans (German, Portuguese and Nordic), Russians and some Australians plus the odd American.
Many of the people we spoke to were regular Goa tourism returnees - there
for the winter warmth, good value for money accommodation, food, drink and excursions
- friendly locals and good service, clean beaches adds to the pleasure of the
tourists' experience.
