Do I need a visa for Goa?

Yes - Visa requirements for Goa are the same as the rest of india.

Where can I get a visa for my holiday to goa?

Visitors (non Indian passport holders) are required to obtain a visitors visa for Goa in their country of residence. This is obtainable for a fee from the Indian High Commission. In the UK, there are offices in London, Birmingham and Edinburgh.

Passport holders from other countries resident in the UK must prove that they have been in the UK for 1 year, utility bills etc. just to show that they have residence in the UK.

You can either apply in person or send your passport, together with the official (downloadable) application form and fee. Allow about two weeks for the postal service or a full day for a personal application.

If you are granted a visitor visa for Goa it will be valid for 6 months from the day of issue (not from your date of entry) and will allow multiple entries into India during that specific 6 month period.

Visitor visas are not renewable in India, you will have to return to your country of residence to obtain a new visitor visa for Goa.

There are other types of visa available. It is advised that you check with your India High Commission Office with respect to other options.
